Helping Employees Take Initiative & Leadership
Employees often have great ideas to solve hard problems on the team, but don't feel they have the skills, knowledge or confidence to take action. Participants in this course learn methods for taking initiative while getting buy-in on their ideas from senior leaders so they can develop the confidence to move big ideas forward. This workshop incorporates the development of a project idea that employees take on to make improvement on the team. Participants also learn and practice: effective communication skills, collecting meaningful data, the art of storytelling, building influential partnerships and more.
Bridge-Builders Workshop 1: Equity and Fairness Through 360 Empathy
Many efforts to talk about equity and inclusion can create rifts in the community that can distract from the work of supporting the mission of the organization. CTC has designed a four step system to support one-on-one conversations about racial justice and anti-bias work in ways that foster deep listening, reflection and genuine shifts in thinking, without surfacing feelings of defensiveness or conflict. The focus is on using empathy and human connection to move hearts, rather than using facts and figures to try and change minds.
Bridge-Builders Workshop 2: Community Healing Through Collective Action
When multiple teams or groups of constituents are in conflict, it can quickly take workplace initiatives off the rails. Leaders rarely have the knowledge or skills for how to create bridges across the communities in ways that heal the rifts and get initiatives back on track. This workshop will teach leaders a quick, user-friendly way to bring communities back together, and get them back on track by focusing on a collective vision and plan for positive change.

This workshop provides leaders with a user-friendly process to create a strategic plan in less than three hours that integrates full staff buy-in and an implementation plan that tracks progress on the plan over time.
